Merinos are a must neccessity now that the mornings are getting a bit nippy. Merino is fabulous for breathing being a natural fibre and saves you from having to layer up too much by keeping in your body heat. It's the first thing we reach for when the days start getting colder. Instore we have a range of different merino tops, our most popular being our own label Wendys Merinos which are made in New Zealand. We have two different styles the basic crew neck top to go under everything and a long merino singlet which is a great modern length that covers your hips and crotch for a flattering top. This is great layered up under other tops to get a bit of length or worn just like a tunic. Sleeveless is a great option for all of us that just find the merino sleeve too hot but keeps the core warm.
The next big item to prepare yourself for the cold is a warm coat for the season that you can wear at all occasions. Black is always a great staple to have in your wardrobe but if you feel like going for something different that will brighten your winter days go for a vibrant colour. Colour is a huge part of the fashion this season so your choices will be vast. Never fear a coloured coat will go out of fashion, as long it is high quality with great tailoring it will serve you years to come.
If you are super organized and already have your layers and coat all set for the Winter months make sure you invest in some scarves to keep you warm. If you feel you need to go for a plainer coat in black, make it interesting by investing in a scarf to bring a bit of colour and life to your outfit. Also this is a great way to include on trend colours that you perhaps wouldn't wear in other garments. For this winter go for the deep jewell colours with plenty of vibrancy; magenta, purple, cobalt, teal and mustard has been strong too. Last on the list is your Winter boot. If I have one piece of advice for you regarding footwear it would be to always go for quality. It will last you twice as long and if you care for them properly they can last you a few seasons. Personally I like to get a new boot every season and as the seasons go on you are set up with a variety of boots that will last for longer as you will be wearing a different pair most days, Plus it's much more fun to put together your outfits when you have a few to choose from! This season we have everything from your high soft leather classic boot to your funky coloured ankle boot to put back with your jeans.
