Get Festive With A Boutique Designer Ensemble

 Christmas Cheer
Well – excitement is now at fever pitch. Just as we’re starting to get our zing on for the festive season Wendys Boutique and Tilda have both had a big drop of oh so super cool summer looks. And if there’s one thing we’re all just starting to hunt for it’s our Christmas party outfits. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty - skim on for some style inspiration.

There are myriad fashion needs over the party period – there will be the summer gatherings, the evening events – hopefully a Christmas party or two. Then of course there’s the big day itself. Options are aplenty; either treat yourself to a number of looks, or pick a few key pieces and change up the accessories.

Summer Days

Light, bright and super easy to wear – the new pieces from the Ten label will stop you in your tracks. Off the shoulder cotton tops with feature sleeves will be perfect teamed with your favourite cut off pants, or for the top-to-toe summer beach barbeque feel, then take a look at the floral dresses. Talk about spoilt for choice – the colours range from pastel to vibrant, and the styles from midi to maxi. If you’re after something super flattering then look no further – several of the styles feature a drawn in waistline, but the one with the band of shirring elastic has my vote. Pair the full length with the fitted waist and you have an unbelievably sleek silhouette. If you can rock a straw hat as well, then you’ll be the bomb.

Sundowner

It’s always crucial to have a transition piece – particularly at this time of year when invites are impromptu - and nothing says day-to-night like satin pants. The relaxed style of the Humidity Friday Pant is transformed by the fabric; perfect for the day with a simple Tee, or team with a pretty camisole top, heels and jewellery and this look is instantly elevated to eveningwear. Another magical quick-change number is the Slip Service Dress, which, with its slinky cut away back, can equally be at home on the beach or at the bar. If you love separates then a favourite pair of jeans and a statement top such as the silk organza ruffled Maud Dainty delight can be low key by day.  However swap out your bag and accessories and you’ll be ready to dance the night away.

Party Pieces

For the razzle-dazzle stop in your tracks look, sequins, silk or satin can generally be found in the outfit somewhere. Find a combination of these fabrics and you’re in business. The Dove Top from Lamb is a gorgeous layered creation, which can be slipped over a pencil skirt or skinny jeans for Christmas drinks. A real wow is the Cooper Tiers In Heaven Dress, which with its star embroidered mesh, is so completely on theme it’s not even funny. However if it’s going to be a night to remember then Twinset has just the thing with its absolutely stunning 20s inspired sequin creation. There’s no doubt you would be the belle of the ball in this wee number.

Christmas Fare

Now we’re all keeping our fingers crossed for scorching sunshine on the big day – but it’s best to cover all bases just in case. With a stylish monochrome colour palette the Paula Ryan Stripe Dress is ideal for whatever the weather throws at us. Perfect as a sundress or easy to layer up without spoiling the look with a smart black blazer or white jacket. The Nikki Maxi from Naudic is a sundress that totally says my turkey isn’t the only thing that wants to see some heat. If the day does turn into a pearler and shorts or cropped pants are on the menu, then the Maud Dainty cotton mesh Foley Top will keep you cool but on trend; delicious paired with the Cooper Lychee Pants. Another festive number is the Trelise Cooper Back Up Dress – red, gold and ruffles. This is a gift in itself.
