INK And LAMB Labels Have Nailed The New Season

 Spring Has Sprung

While the daffodils may be a little while off blooming, the same can’t be said for Designer Fashion for Spring, which is unfurling its beautiful petals on the racks of our favourite stores even as I write. Hallelujah! It’s a real joy to embrace the onset of a new season, and despite the fact that we still love being rugged up, the urge to start sniffing out the new season is strong. Very strong.

Opt For Natural Fibres

The thing that is most striking about the spring and summer trends is the reign of natural fibres as fabric choices; and the king of them all…linen. Declared the fabric of the summer by anyone who is anyone on the fashion scene, it has meandered its way down catwalks in the cool, easy breezy way that only linen can. Its slightly crumpled texture only adds to its relaxed feel, and anyone (like me) who breaks out in a sweat at the sight of a well-pressed look and its underlying implication of an ironing board, is whooping with joy at the prospect of sidelining that job, at least for the summer

Linen More Versatile Than Ever.

Linen is a fabric that can turn its hand to any garment, so it’s impossible not to embrace it when you see it in action. Loose pants, slouchy skirts – this season designers have reworked this natural fabric and given styles a contemporary twist. If you thought it was just the preserve of resort wear, think again. Clever designs and stunning patterns have opened up a whole new world of wear ability – this covers everything from beach to office in one fell swoop.

So if you’re about to scrabble around hunting frantically online for linen, before you go any further check out Ink and Lamb. These are both labels that love to work with natural fabrics, or combine them expertly with manmade fibres for the best result. With an already established relationship with linen and silk, these labels have a great handle on the materials they are working with. This season Ink in particular is all about the fabric, and has combined tropical delight with botanical floral. The result is big bold and beautiful, a kaleidoscope of colour. The styles are simple, allowing the fabric and the pattern to take centre stage. There are shift dresses, relaxed fit tops – comfort meets contemporary.

Silk- Say No More.

Lamb is an Italian label, and one glance as the swoosh of the silk, or the feminine frills, and its clear that this is easy wear with style. There are dresses that aim to complement the wearer; a silk maxi that skims the figure, yet refuses to cling to those lumps and bumps. A top that softly falls, giving the perfect silhouette. Again colour is key, and nothing says spring like a pop of vibrancy.

Both labels are exclusive to Wendys and tilda, so these unique designs, fabrics and styles are limited. Spring is coming and these styles are hot.
